Brad’s Pick for March 17th – 22nd

Kiona Cabernet Sauvignonbradspickofweek

From Washington State this Cabernet Sauvignon, which made the region famous for over thirty years now is a true testament to the quality of Washington State and its position as one of the world’s leading Cabernet producing regions. This suave, polished Cabernet Sauvignon showcases dark plum and clove on the palate, which are balanced nicely by aromas of black tea, smoke, and earth. A velvety mouthfeel and grippy tannins underpin the elegant flavor profile.

Brad’s Pick March 3rd -8th

You definitely need to check out this left bank Bordeaux. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cab Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. This wine is a full on old school Bordeaux with dark fruit, smoke, muscle, and earth with a rating of 92 points through Wine Spectator.

Brad’s Pick for Feb 3-8

2005 Las Pizarras

From the Calatayud region of Spain this 100% the 2005 Las Pizarras, produced from 100% old vine,dry-farmed Garnacha (70-100 years old) is remarkably floral (violets) with traces of lavender, spices, and Provencal herbs. The blackcherry flavors are mouth filling and there is enough tannin for several years of development. Tasted blind, you might think this was a high class Chateauneuf du Pape.
