From Sonoma, California this wine is created by Phil Staehle who will be here at GenuWine Tasting Room on April 29th for a tasting. This rendition of Humbaba shows wonderful aromas and flavors of brown spices such as cardamom and mace, combined with chocolate, and root. On the palate find fruits of blackberries and ripe plum interlaced with dried herbs, a hint of olive, and pain grille. The body is rich and full with mouth coating, persistent tannins. Definitely get excited to taste his new lineup at the end of this month.
Alysian Rochioli Pinot Noir
From the Famous Gary Farrell, who has been specializing in Pinot Noir for over 40 years, this excellent Pinot is sourced from the most Prestigious Vineyard in Russian River Valley, the Rochioli Vineyard. This incredibly small production Pinot Noir has aromas and flavours of bright red fruits with a subtle floral tones of lavender, and a finish that will leave you begging for more. Truly one of my favorites.
Truly excited to have this wine back on the wall! This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Carpenter Ranch in St. Helena has a case production of only 306 six packs. It is ages 31 months in French Oak to produce a well-structured, chewy, firm wine with a aromas and tastes of violets and mint, and a long, full finish. If you need any excuse to make it to the GenuWine this week this will definitely suffice.
